Bring Back British Rail

Bring Back British Rail is back!

After a short lull in activity, we're very pleased to announce that the Bring Back British Rail campaign is back in action with a massive public demonstration against the government's train fare rises and a new online petition on the newly re-launched e-petitions website.

Demo Against Train Fare Rises

Tuesday 16 August 2011
8:30 - 9:30 AM
Outside Waterloo Station
(corner of York Way and Sutton Walk)

We're teaming up with the Campaign for Better Transport, Climate Rush, RMT, Together for Transport and TSSA to organise this massive demonstration next Tuesday against the government hikes in train fares outside London's Waterloo Station.

We'll be unveiling our massive Bring Back British Rail banner and supporting the Campaign for Better Transport raise awareness for their Fair Fares Now campaign.

If you're hacked-off with the way the trains are run in this country, this is your chance to make your voice heard. Please come down and join us at the demo and help by spreading the word, inviting your friends, bringing your own banners and making a noise!

New e-petition Re-nationalise Britain's Railways

A few days ago the government launched its new e-petitions service. The Bring Back British Rail campaign is getting behind this online petition to re-nationalise the railways as a focal point for our activities until it closes on 4 August 2012.

Any petition on this website which reaches over 100,000 signatures will be debated by MPs in parliament. It is the Bring Back British Rail campaign's aim to reach this target before the deadline. Please help us to achieve this goal by signing the petition and 'sharing' it with all your friends and colleagues:
