   
Our campaign was launched back in summer 2009 with the simple aim of popularising the policy of public ownership, by proving what a failure rail privatisation has been.
Over the last eight years, we have made massive progress. In May this year, Labour finally launched its manifesto committing to "introduce a Public Ownership of the Railways Bill to repeal the 1993 Railways Act under which our railways were privatised". We have begun to win the battle of ideas.
In 2018, we're continuing work with our friends at We Own It to plan the next steps for our campaigns for the public ownership of transport and energy, whilst supporting local action around the UK:
