Time to Take Back Our Trains

Time to Take Back Our Trains

The coronavirus lockdown has caused a crisis for our failing privatised railway.

On 23 March 2020, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps stepped in with a massive bailout to the private train companies to ensure their profits until 30 September.

Now the train companies are lobbying to have these 'Emergency Measures Agreements' extended for another year.

Grant Shapps will make a decision in the next few weeks.

We're demanding that he prioritise safety, save public money, and help improve services in the long-term by bringing rail back into public ownership for good.
