![]() Help us Make West Coast PublicOver the next few months, the Department for Transport (DfT) will decide the future of two of our biggest rail franchises: the West Coast Main Line - connecting London with Glasgow via the North West, and Thameslink, Southern & Great Northern - covering large parts of the South East. It looks as though the DfT are preparing to give 'direct award' contracts for up to 10 years(!) to the failing private train companies currently running these franchises. So we're taking action to stop them. Today we're launching a new petition to Make West Coast Public. If our East Coast Main Line can be run in public ownership, then our West Coast should be too. Please help us make a big impact over the next month, by signing our petition and sharing details with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram: If you live in the South East, please also consider supporting our legal action to stop the DfT awarding disgraced company Govia a new contract to continue running Thameslink, Southern & Great Northern. |
