Sheila Brown, AlnwickI hope the railways do become nationalised. Privatisation is not favourable to the everyday commuter nor frequent travellers like myself.
Gordon Stephens, BostonRailways are a public service and as such should be in public hands, not being used to make huge profits for private companies.
John Maynard, HarrogateSince we are paying billions every year to subsidise fat cat pay and shareholder dividends we might as well own it.
Nicola Milic, CardiffOutrageous. Only one carriage instead of two on the Coryton line – a bit too cosy.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
