Bring low fares and a sense of pride back to our railways.
Rick Salter, PenrithAs a regular rail user I know that the previous set-up was better. Bring back BR and put service ahead of profit.
Tim Gray, GlasgowI just want to be able to get to work. I live in a developed country. Is this really too much to ask? Rail privatisation was the worst idea ever.
Ellie Harrison, GlasgowA new British Rail should reinstate that proud public service ethos by giving passengers and employees more control over how it’s run.
Glen Arnold, RugeleySafety/customer service and limitless profit simply don’t mix.
Janice Windle, GuildfordPrivatisation has brought none of the benefits promised and has raised prices and provided a debilitated service.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
