Privatisation does not work, and will never work. It’s time to take ownership back into public hands.

Rhys Williams, ManchesterOne unified entity for the railways, in public hands, for the people of the UK, saving the taxpayer huge amounts of money. Look at East Coast. Enough said.

Karan Capon-Richards, RochesterThe whole train service is overpriced and useless. I’m really glad I don’t need to use the trains every day but others need to get to and from work without all this disruption.

Raymond Curtis, NottinghamRailways, Gas, Electricity, Water and Post Office should never have been privatised. They are too essential to be left to the vagaries of the market.
