Campaign against Chiltern Railways (Arriva)

The National Rail Contract for Chiltern Railways was directly awarded to Arriva UK Trains by the Department for Transport in December 2021. Arriva UK Trains, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national state-owned rail operator, had operated the previous Chiltern Railways franchise since March 2002. The contract mainly includes train services running to and from London Marylebone station and is intended to run for six years. Arriva also operates the CrossCountry franchise, as well as London Overground.

• Do you use the Chiltern Railways service regularly?
• Do you believe it should be returned to public hands as part of a re-unified national rail network run for people not profit?
• Then, why not start a campaign building up to the franchise end?

Bring Back British Rail will support you by promoting your campaign’s details on this website and putting you in touch with other local activists via our Facebook, Twitter and Riseup communities. Please get in touch on the email address below!
