Privatisation has failed to save money for the public purse or the travelling public. All it has provided is lots of expensive liveries. We need to re-nationalise now.
We have the highest fares I can think of anywhere. As a result I pretty much never use trains. I love train journeys and would use them but cannot afford them.
Any profits from the rail system should go into the public purse, not the bank accounts of fat cat parasites. Get the railways re-nationalised.
The transport system is too disjointed, causing confusion for users and permitting all of those companies concerned to make profits which should, by rights, be OUR profit.
Why are we subsidising a rail network so that private companies make a profit?

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
Has the government's decarbonisation policy hit fever point?
