Privatisation of the railways was a con, designed to make money for the already wealthy. If I was a thief I’d have more self-respect than the CEOs of the train operators.
I’m deeply saddened that East Coast has disappeared – such a regressive step.

Privatisation of the railways is a sham so that shareholders can make millions. We should re-invest in re-opening closed lines and bring back a real service.
Reverse the progress to a corporatist state with profit put before public service.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
