Though never totally satisfactory, the problems caused by privatisation have made nationalisation seem very attractive.
I’ve never seen such a tight-run service – appalling, overcrowded, overpriced, unreliable. Sort it out.
We need a nationalised railway because being able to travel easily around the country for work and leisure is a necessity that ordinary people are being priced out of.
I fully support this 100%.
East Coast Line is excellent – all our railways should be run by the country for the country.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
