Even though the Tory government is in the process of privatising Royal Mail, there is still hope of re-nationalising the railways.

  • I hope the railways do become nationalised. Privatisation is not favourable to the everyday commuter nor frequent travellers like myself.

  • I travel regularly by train as I don’t drive. In the past 20 years it has become a disgusting experience. Drunks (therefore unsafe), filthy toilets, often no seats. It’s hell.

    Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
    The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
    It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
