I would very much enjoy seeing the railways re-nationalised and I think it would be highly beneficial for the country.
Re-nationalisation of railways is easier than other privatised industries because at expiration existing franchises can be transferred to Directly Operated Railways.
I’m travelling every day on the most expensive route in Europe and the service is appalling. There is no justification for this.
Certain essential utilities are best operated by Government who are responsible to the electorate, not shareholders. East Coast has proved it.
Passenger safety is before profits. To have a transport infrastructure that puts profits before safety is beyond belief.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
