Jessie James, BristolRail travel should be a public service, not a commodity for a handful of people to make economic gain at the expense of the majority.
Piers Baker, CanterburyI wouldn’t usually consider myself a socialist but there is no way the free market can operate in the railway system. These private rail monopolies are robber barons.
Tim Stevens, PeterboroughBR was a nationwide co-ordinated rail system. BR needed much less government subsidy than the current fragmented privatised system. Bring back BR.
Ben Hall, Haywards HeathI live a 50 minute train ride from London. I will never work there. Could never afford the season ticket.
Richard Spencer, ChippenhamIs the BR logo meant to be the wrong way round? Seriously the main aim must be to simplify the industry and reduce the number of expensive interfaces that currently exist.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
