I want a rail service that is for its passengers and not one that doesn’t care if their service is poor.

Rose Chaney, BridportThe rail system is not working for travellers but shareholders and higher management are still making plenty of money. Our railways need to change.
Ahsan Naseer, BirminghamPlease bring back real rail travel in the UK.
Richard Denham, OxfordWe need a nationalised, unified train system. Prices and service quality has become far too sporadic under privatisation.
Owain Glyndwr, HaverfordwestLike all privatisation, the railways are now in a complete mess. More public subsidies than BR ever saw and the service is diabolical.
Kenneth Raistrick, ManchesterWith prices far higher in the UK than in the rest of Europe, bringing back BR is one of the best things to do. The railway should be for people, not shareholders’ profits.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
