Privatisation does not work. Private companies have failed badly in most aspects of railway activity, including the decimation of the UK’s rolling stock manufacturers.
Well, after all these years in private hands is it not time to invest once and for all in a transport system for the 22nd century? Start now and it may just happen.
Bring back affordable transport and friendly staff. Bring back British Rail.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
