Privatisation has failed. Bring back British Rail for the staff, for the commuters and for the greater good.
It’s better not to use wording like “re-nationalise”. Include all utilities and bus companies. Make sure the latter run services co-ordinated with the rail system.
I’ve long felt that selling off national assets was a short-term, short-sighted approach which of course benefits private companies more than the British public.
A privatised railway is bound to put profits before passengers and often safety is compromised for the sake of profits as well.
Bring back British Rail has my support.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
Has the government's decarbonisation policy hit fever point?
