Christopher Davies, Kirkby in AshfieldPrivatisation has failed, and despite being in private hands the government still has to cough up money for the railways. Nationalise and make tax money spent worth it.
William Dudley, StevenageI am a retired employee of WAGN (12 years) and have seen a lot of change, most by foreign rail companies. In my view the rail system belongs to the public.
Colin McCathie, DerbyWe had the best rail network in the world. Now some of it needs restoring.
Lesley Tompkins, LeedsWe need a railway system run for passengers, not for profit. Also run for environmental reasons.
Marguerite Morgan, Byron BayBritish Rail served a huge and beautiful part of my life. Do not lose it.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
