Privatisation is not progress.
Peter Wright, BarnsleyJust for once, admit that privatisation hasn’t worked. It’s costing more in subsidies now than it ever did when it was nationalised.
Gerard Neill, LondonThe South East Region needs longer trains all the time, not just a few during peak hours.
Andrew Pettigrew, SheffieldIt’s not just the railways that need to be brought back into public ownership, but that’ll do for a start.
Michael Branney, LeicesterSadly, the current disjointed rail organisation and ticketing is a national embarrassment.
Nancy Smith, IpswichWhen it’s more often than not cheaper to fly or get a coach from south to north England you know there’s a problem with the railway system.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
