There are a few things I believe should not be subject to market forces, shareholder interests etc.

Bring the rail system back to the people. Make it fairly priced so that low income people can travel too. Ban HS2 and concentrate on the people that matter.

Under privatisation profits go up, fares go up and service is muddled and difficult to use.

The current franchise agreements mean that profits can be sucked away from the railways by private companies, yet the government then has to stump up money for investment.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
