Simon McDonagh, LewesOther EU countries have it so much better, so why can’t we?
Philip Foster, BirminghamMaybe we could have a government run for the people and not for profit too. Nice thought.
Ronald Mackie, LeedsIt’s not just that state control of our rail system would be better, it is that exploitative for-profit train operating companies increase the running costs.
Kevin Wheatley, Stockton-on-TeesA recent trip to Munich left me in awe of a brilliant public transport system which is in stark contrast of the poor British standard. You can fly for less over here.
Michael Hall, CoventryPeople over profit.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
