Shareholders should not factor into a vital nation-wide transport link. It makes for over complication and over pricing, with very little profit going to the system. BBBR.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
