Dara Foody, HarrowAs a socialist I believe in production for use not for profit. Economic and social benefits of re-nationalisation in many areas, not just the railways, are very appealing.
Malcolm Gibbons, TelfordIf there is profit to be made then we need to feed that back into the country’s coffers.
Killian Kane, ColchesterOur money is not being spent on the rail service and we are forced to use twenty year old trains.
Stefan Pierlejewski, StockportThere is a reason we all pay taxes. Water, health and transport should be priority.
David Otterson, BillinghamUK railways are years behind most developed countries. There is little incentive for investment in the current fragmented set-up with relatively short franchises.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
