Privatisation means higher fares, huge profits, bonuses and a reduced workforce.

Derek Jones, TyldesleyThe so called privatisation is costing the tax payer more than the nationalised railway ever did with duplication of jobs. Surely it’s time to stop this nonsense?
Philip Melaney, LondonEssential services and infrastructure should never be in private hands. The potential for corruption is too high and on too grand a scale.
Roy Little, LeicesterPrivatisation has led to poor service and is too expensive. It’s become all about profit for the few.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
