Let’s have a rail system where customer service not profit is the prime motivating force.

Keep this railway in public ownership. It works for the majority. Keep greedy hands off.

Rail privatisation was a bad idea when the Tories introduced it. It is now difficult to plan a long-distance journey and prices are exorbitant. Plan for need, not profit.

I go every week into Edinburgh and the guard rarely gets through to sell tickets. At Waverley, six to eight staff are waiting to sell tickets. The wait is longer than the trip in.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
