Sue Mantle, BorehamwoodOur country is in such a financial mess partly due to privatisation of all services, where profit comes before giving a good service. We need to stop this now.
Kevin Gaylard, New MiltonBritain deserves better than the total shambles that privatisation was always going to be. Money for fat cats doesn’t provide a decent railway.
James Peel, StockportI have the utter displeasure of suffering 10 Northern Rail journeys a week. Last week 9 out of 10 were late, and I never got a seat. It is an absolute disgrace.
William Paddock, EdinburghIf only British Rail had got the subsidies all these private railway companies receive, what a network we could have had.
Angus Wall, BrightonSurely we all want to see British Rail back?

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
