Some things in life should never be privatised. Education, the NHS, the Police, the Post Office and the Railways.
Paul Britton, StevenageSeparate companies weren’t working, which is why BR was created in 1948, not working now, and it’s glaringly obvious that it needs to be brought back under one company.
Ian McCall, LlanidloesThe current service is expensive, unfriendly and wasteful.
Paul Lenihan, LondonThe system as it is now is a bloody mess and one big massive rip-off.
Andrew Nix, LondonThe railways should be a public concern, serving the public, not wealthy shareholders.
Alistair Rawkins, SalisburyI am a full time student and use the car to commute to and from university in Southampton. Using the car is actually cheaper than getting the train.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
