Miliband must be blind not to see what a popular declaration it would be to declare now for the re-nationalisation of all transport.
Things need to change. We must have the worst railway in Europe.
I see little point in all these rail companies trying to compete with each other when none of them offer cheap prices. Why not work as a team to run a good railway?
It’s a good excuse for privatisation. The rich shareholders get the benefits, not the average public.
They’re still using ex-BR Mark III coaches, ‘cascaded’ from West Coast mainline. Last week, no light, no heat in coach D. Terrible service. Bring back BR.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
