We keep subsidising failed private rail companies. Why? Nationalise.
Kate Rowland, TywynAll service companies should never have been privatised.
Andrew Clark, Newton AbbotI’m sick and tired of the Great British Rail-fair robbery.
Kathleen Alcock, CleethorpesTrain services should be a public service. They are crucial to the working sector and should not be run by many different companies. They’re overcrowded and overpriced at the moment.
Edward Childs, RadlettI would like the government to justify its claim that our privatised railways are both more efficient and more cost-effective.
Tina Ball, SheffieldYes Bring back British Rail. It’s so much easier, cheaper and better than the mess we have now.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
