Ray Hand, AbingdonThe rail system should be a service, not a money-making opportunity for investors.
Leslie Scaife, SouthportApart from the massive debt, fares have risen out of all proportion and they are still getting funding from the public purse. Shareholders win and taxpayers lose.
Harriet Caine, SheffieldTravelling East Midlands is a nightmare. Dirty carriages, poor onboard services, staff shortages.
Imogen Forster, LondonWe need a publicly-owned railway system.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
