I support the view that railways should be publicly owned and run.
Liz Lacey, LiverpoolI have used trains for thirty years and have experienced the service drop and prices rise consistently due to greed and incompetence. Enough of this.
Elizabeth Collier, LiverpoolA nationalised rail system in Britain would bring more efficient service for customers. In addition workers would be proud to work for the good of people not profit.
Roxana Anniuk, Philadelphia, USAFrequent travellers need decent fares.
Jon Hassall, CreweI started on the RTS back in 1989, then was a guard and was made a driver in 1996. BR days were so much better than today’s railways.
John Winn, UpminsterA fragmented rail service is not the best for passengers, with different pricing for the same and similar journeys.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
