It is high time that something Great and British was restored.
Geoffrey Duncan, Potters BarWe need the railways to be nationalised. It is totally unfair that the privatised companies make profits out of a public service.
Rachel Hardy, LiverpoolI hate Virgin trains. It is painful to pay so much money for an uncomfortable service, either freezing cold or suffocating hot, with horrifically smelling toilets.
Peter Stoodley, BradfordNo compensation for any of the companies currently running the railways. They’ve had quite enough already.
Nicola Blackwell, LewesIt does exactly what it says on the tin.
Colin Anderson, DunstableThis must be done for the sake of our nation and rail safety.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
