I think it should all go back to how it was. The trains ran better back then, not like now, and the tickets were cheaper.

Dennis Browne, PeterboroughGive it back and stop privatising. We own it, the people of the United Kingdom.
L Speirs, GlasgowIt costs the taxpayer more now in subsidies to the big business train companies than it ever cost to run BR. Pure dogmatism, which must be ended.
Kelvin Smith, BedfordOver the last 4 decades that I have borne witness to, privatisation has clearly failed. We need to stop bored billionaires using us as their Monopoly board.
David Black, HarrogateWe need to bring the railways back into public ownership rather than giving money to private (and mostly foreign) companies.
Clare Jennings, NottinghamEMR have been so unreliable that a two hour journey now very often becomes five hours. They monopolise the service that is run for profit not passengers. We need better.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
