Jamie Anderson, SwindonPrivatised rail doesn’t work. It doesn’t allow for competition, so a private system can never work.
Bruce Williams, DyffrynHaving worked for BR as a signalman for 20 years, I have seen our railway system slowly deteriorate into the shambles it is now.
Audrey Campbell, MayboleAs a railwayman’s daughter, I want to see a return to passenger care, sensible ticket pricing, employees proud to be employed by a new BR with good conditions and pay.
Robert Smith, GravesendIt’s definitely cheaper for me to drive than use the trains, even off-peak and that is crazy. If fares were half the price I would let the train take the strain.
Susan Dawson, RosudgeonNeither trains, railways nor buses should ever have been privatised. High prices for poor transport services. Nationalised would be better maintenance/service/price.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
