Trains are too expensive and too crowded.
Colin Partington, WirralThe rail system is fine if you’re just going from A to B. If you’re going to C and need to change at D, and the second leg is with a different company – good luck with that!
Mark Redding, WednesburyPrivatisation hasn’t worked on any level. The service has deteriorated, fares have increased, fat cats cream off profits. A reorganised British Rail was the answer all along.
Robert Hill, LondonBring back BR and introduce a clear standardised fare structure.
Steven Sayer, NorwichBring back British Rail, so the profits go back into the system, and not into somebody’s pocket. We had a great service from Norwich to London Liverpool St. before.
Steve Davies, RomfordPublic transport should not be operated for profit. Take a leaf out of our European neighbours’ book and put train travel back in the public domain. It works.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
