Privatisation has failed. Neoliberalism has failed.
Mary Johnstone, SurbitonI’m tired of catching overcrowded trains.
Gloria Percy, DurhamCertain things should not be de-nationalised and BR was definitely one. The East Coast line has been in public hands for a while now and it’s bloody great.
Leslie Simpson, EdinburghI worked for British Rail until privatisation and did not realise how lucky I was to have what turned out to be good honest managers and colleagues, which came to an end.
Malcolm Young, GrimsbyBringing back British Rail is the sensible thing to do. Unfortunately this government does not do sensible.
Sandra Redden, NorthamptonWe need trains so that people can get out and about and get to work.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
