British Rail was finally getting its act together when the ill-conceived 1993 Railways Act was foisted upon them.
The proposed privatisation of East Coast, an excellent and profitable railway, is complete madness, Remember EC’s predecessors’ incompetence.
No more rip-offs – by the people, for the people.
Our railways should be British owned, not German (DB Schenker), French, Dutch, Canadian or American.
British Rail was fractured when de-nationalised by the earlier government, and must be re-united for financial good.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
