Stop privatising national rail.
Vivien Vibert, TrinityThe coronavirus has laid bare the fallacy, long-seen by many, of having essential services such as rail in private hands, with profits going into those private hands.
Richard York, NorthamptonNationalised rail certainly wasn’t perfect, but selling the family silver is far worse, especially when some of the best lines are those publicly owned now.
Gina Woods, NorwichRe-nationalisation and the profit made would assure governments that they could invest to improve our failing rail system. It’s a win/win situation.
Nicolas Richardson, CardiffPrivatisation has been a complete waste of time, has not benefited anyone who uses it. It’s turned out worse value for consumers as prices hike and services get worse.
James O’Grady, CoventryYou know this makes perfect sense.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
