Kevin McDonnell, MansfieldDo you really think all these companies are running the railway at a loss? Why not keep it in this country and public ownership?
Margaret Al-Rekabi, NottinghamWhen British Rail was in existence the price of a journey was set. 1st and 2nd class. Now it is a muddle and many different fares depending on when you book. Not good.
Judith Joy, SkiptonPrivatisation only works for the owners and their shareholders. Return to BR now.
Hugh Dean, LeedsIt’s ridiculous how much money is wasted on subsidising the private rail sector. Privatisation always costs more.
David Reed, PeterboroughI would like to see BR re-nationalised.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
