Phil Sefton, Miskin, PontyclunLet common sense prevail and break up the jolly club of profiteering companies with no competition. Essential services in public ownership is the best way forward.
Andy Travis, LondonEnough is enough. The rail infrastructure in this country is beyond terrible. It’s expensive, embarrassingly bad and the companies are without culpability.
Kathleen Gardner, Tyne and WearThe sooner the rail network is out of private hands the better, but I do not support HS2 which is an obscene waste of money and hugely damaging to the environment.
Andrew McGill, GosportAll public transport should be nationalised. All utilities should be nationalised. Sadly Labour let us down.
Colin McCathie, DerbyWe had the best rail network in the world. Now some of it needs restoring.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
