It’s our railway.
Doreen Stevenson, PortsmouthPrivate ownership only ever lines the pockets of shareholders and never serves the public needs.
Mark Campey, HarrogateWhere I live the rail network is primitive, i.e. diesel trains every half an hour between Leeds and York.
Nigel Ponsford, LeedsI object to the train operating companies having to pay to rent stock we paid for as taxpayers in the first place.
Richard Jenkins, BridgendActually, I would want a Welsh Rail. I’m Welsh, not British, but bring back ownership of vital services to the people.
Kris Pratt, TotnesRail services since privatisation are a sham.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
