Bring it back.
Patrick Hulme, AvonI can’t help comparing the situation in Britain with that of France, which is miles ahead in the provision of rail travel.
Peter Van-Stratten, CardiffJust bring back BR. It was so much nicer and easier to deal with and, being state-owned, you knew where you were.
Patrick O’Brien, SloughWorst value train service in the developed world.
Arvind Jadwa, LondonThe service has been bad since privatisation, and the fares sky high.
Simon Postgate, Herne BayIt’s cheaper to travel by car, which is absurd.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
