Jason Garrett, LouthThe rail network needs to be returned to the nation. It has become all about profit, yet it is being subsidised with millions of pounds of public money.
John Brien, BeverleyIn a civilised society things like public transport – getting people to work or to see family – should be a public service, not a profit-making organisation.
Peter Steckles, RochdaleWay overdue.
Helena Ferguson, Stamford BridgeI’m still waiting for my refund from Virgin Trains after they cancelled all trains in and out of Kings Cross which meant we were over 3 hours late.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
