I’m disgruntled at a system where foreign state-owned companies can profiteer from our trains, but our government can’t operate a nationalised service.
Privatisation has simply not delivered the benefits that were promised. For me, I never believed it would.
No compensation to shareholders. After all, they got the shares at a knock-down price.
It was lunacy to privatise in the first place. Railways should be for the public good – for people not profit.
Re-nationalise our railways so we can once again be a united power on the rails.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
