I’m left with absolutely no choice on rail travel. If I’m unhappy with the service there’s nothing I can do. It’s a monopoly that produces the highest rail fares in Europe.

Mike Obermaier, SouthseaThe ridiculous mosaic of train operators, infrastructure, real estate etc. etc. does not constitute a transport system, but a recipe for chaos. Re-nationalise.
Will Steeds, ColchesterThey’re still using ex-BR Mark III coaches, ‘cascaded’ from West Coast mainline. Last week, no light, no heat in coach D. Terrible service. Bring back BR.
