Roland Scales, WatfordBritish Rail wasn’t very good, but the current set-up is appalling.
Julia Logie, HeathfieldPrivatisation of the rail network has devastated this country. I think the entire infrastructure of the UK is falling apart bit by bit. It’s very sad to see this happening…
Ken Gibson, TwickenhamCertain services need to be publicly run and the profits shared among the many. Privatisation is a get-even-more-rich-quicker scheme for an undeserving elite.
Edward Turvey, Westcliff-on-SeaThe railways of this country have degenerated into a private, profit-driven mess. The franchisees do not care about passengers, only profit. Bring back British Rail.
Roddie Arnott, EdinburghIt seems sheer folly that as a country we now pay more in state subsidies to the private providers than we ever paid for British Rail

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
