Patrick Spackman, BristolI remember when we used to complain about British Rail but it was about the Pork Pies and no-one questioned its ability to get us from A to B as per the timetable.
Nigel Filer, WatfordCost of 4 weekly oyster cards zone 1-9 is £320+. My rent with all bills included is £470. Travel costs are a disgrace.
Robin White, BristolA joined-up railway with simple fare structures makes common sense. Profiteering off the backs of the travelling public doesn’t.
Paula Forbes, StockportLast year it cost £2.50 return into Manchester at the weekend, now it’s £3.60. If I travel from a stop further back (e.g. a longer journey) it’s cheaper at £3.20.
Paul Mosley, Sawley, NottinghamI agree.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
