I remember the service side, like restaurant cars, being so prevalent. Has competition really improved things?

David Moy, BoltonPrivatisation doesn’t work on all routes – Virgin is OK but Northern is an example of appalling service, crammed in like cattle, dirty old rolling stock and what about H and S?

Great to see Liverpool City Region Combined Authority agree plans to take Merseyrail back into public ownership when the Serco/Transport UK contract ends in 2028 👏🚆 But there's still a big loophole in the #RailwaysBill meaning a future Mayor could easily re-privatise it 🤦♂️
