Geoff Brewer, DevizesWe know that rail networks overseas in Japan, Germany and France etc., are pinnacles of public transport excellence. We need to copy them.
Colin Noble, HuddersfieldMy old man worked for British Rail from 1936 to 1967. He was just a driver/labourer, but he loved the job.
Ian McMillan, LiphookOh for a bit of joined-up thinking and long-term planning. Never, with our daft political system.
Gary Allen, CheshireBring back the old times.
Richard Symonds, BroadstairsEast Coast is beating all the private companies. The best European networks are state-owned. Private rail is dear and dangerous.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
