We should have a national police force, a national railway (BR) and a National Health Service. National for the nation.
The free market ideology that privatised railways means profit for the few while the state bails out. It’s the same with the energy companies and now the NHS.
I support the idea of keeping railways in public ownership. Too much profit is taken out by shareholders and not kept in the rail industry for future improvements.
Let’s have a national co-ordinated service with sensible pricing.
Please, please, please bring decent railways back to the people who need reliable, affordable public transport, not greedy private companies.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
Has the government's decarbonisation policy hit fever point?
